About The Position

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for setting up and operating equipment used in the process of disassembly, packing or further processing of poultry. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulation RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Under minimal supervision, set up and operate department specific equipment (Pac Mac, DSI, etc) in the disassembly, packing and/or further processing of poultry to meet company and customer requirements Monitor and adjust equipment as needed to ensure even flow of production and/ or meet required standards Adjust equipment as needed to meet required standard (weight, size, etc.) Stop equipment and notify proper personnel in event of equipment malfunction if unable to correct Adhere to safe work practices, policies and procedures, maintain sanitary conditions to ensure product quality; report any condition or practice that may adversely affect food safety, food quality and/or personnel safety Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
  • Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
  • Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
  • Stand up to 8 hours
  • Exposed to cold temperatures (45ºF, 4ºC)
  • Lift from 10 to 60 lbs. frequently
  • Work around raw, live animal odors

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
