About The Position

Skilled Manufacturing Assignment to Hire Position – Machinist. Job Location – Elkhart Lake, WI. Starting Date – Immediate. Employment Term – Temp-to-hire or direct-hire. Employment Type – Full-time. Work Hours (Shift) – 5am-1pm. Starting Pay – $25-$30/hour. Benefits – Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Referral Bonus. Required Education – High School Diploma or equivalent. Competencies – At least 3 years of experience in a machine shop setting. Ability to move roughly 50 to 75 pounds and remain stationary throughout a shift. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications. Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations. Familiarity or willingness to learn legacy computer numerical control (CNC) software and machinery.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate Prototrak 2.5-axis mill, Prototrak turning centers, legacy 3 and 4 axis CNC machines, and other equipment to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
• Set up the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
• Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications.
• Adjust machine controls to resolve production errors.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
• Inspect machinery for any needed repairs.
• Perform minor repairs within expertise.
• Comply with applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
