As a Machine Shop Technician, you will be part of the Technical Services support team and will provide support for the site and operations. Must be able to prioritize workflow. Demonstrates technical mastery at the highest level. Responsible for Safety, Quality, Reliability, and Cost associated with equipment. Technical understanding, technical zeal, deals with uncertainty, attention to detail and flexibility. As a Machine Shop Technician, some of your essential duties and responsibilities may include: Providing ownership for the day-to-day operations of the equipment they are operating in the machine shop. Assisting shop leader for site wide support for emergency machining needs during downtimes or outages. Assisting vendors or repair persons on equipment in the machine shop as directed by the machine shop lead tech. Assisting of installation of new equipment in the machine shop at the direction of the shop lead. Working with vendors for shop equipment, tooling, and materials. Use of SAP for production orders and work orders, will be a part for the decision-making process as it pertains to emergency repair priority setting on their shift. Assisting in cross training in the machine shop Use of 80/20 tools, USA and TPM philosophy into their daily work with a focus on streamlining or improving on current processes to aid in making the shop successful. Maintaining areas: neat and in an orderly fashion and hold others accountable to the standards.
