Position Overview Are you a skilled machinist looking for a hands-on role in fabrication and machining? As a Machinist , you’ll play a key role in repairing and building products with precision, following blueprints, work orders, and instructions to ensure top-quality results. Using a variety of machining techniques and shop equipment, you’ll be responsible for both the operation and maintenance of tools essential to the trade. This position requires a strong understanding of industrial machining, including various components, techniques, and equipment. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, technical expertise, and a willingness to adapt to project demands. With position levels assigned based on skill and experience, this is a great opportunity to grow within the field, take on new challenges, and contribute to a team dedicated to high-quality craftsmanship. The equipment and skills are divided into four different categories: Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, and Group 4 . Group 1 Equipment : Manual Lathe - Vertical, Manual Lathe – Horizontal, Manual Mill – Vertical, Manual Boring Mill - Horizontal Group 2 Equipment : CNC Lathe, CNC Mill Group 3 Skills : Surface Grinder, Drill Press, Balancing Group 4 Skills : Spray Welding, Line Boring There are four levels of Machinist: Machinist I – Entry Level to Proficient in operating 1 piece from Group 1 or Group 2 Equipment Machinist II – Advanced ability to operate (2) pieces of Group 1 Equipment or Group 2 Equipment Machinist III – Advanced ability to operate all Group 1 Equipment, advanced ability to operate at least (1) piece from Group 2 Equipment, and be proficient in Group 3 Skills Machinist IV - Advanced ability to operate all Group 1 Equipment, all Group 2 Equipment, and be proficient in Group 3 and Group 4 skills.
