About The Position

Reviews drawings, instructions, shop travelers to determine required set up Performs manual set up, problem solves any constraints. Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping. Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment. Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary. Maintains production standards and quality requirements Adheres to the corporate code of conduct Compliance to IPM/QPM and ISO standards Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs. Maintains a safe and clean workstation. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and requirements
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in math
• Basic computer skills
• Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
• Provides accurate feedback to the department supervisor
• Lean skills always driving and suggesting improvements
• Team player
• Must be fluent in English, speaking, reading and writing
• High school degree or equivalent
• Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
• Working knowledge of safety protocols
