About this Role This position at Crux Subsurface is responsible for utilizing CNC technology and equipment to develop custom parts according to design specifications. The machinist will operate and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality components while ensuring safety and efficiency. Hourly: $28.00 - $32.00 DOE Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Basic Life Insurance Provided with Premium Cost Share between employer and employee. 401k and Roth contribution with company match eligibility. Vacation and Sick Leave accrual in accordance with company plans.

  • Operate CNC machine in a safe and productive manner.
  • Build custom parts to print or specification.
  • Knowledge and ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints to design specified components.
  • Maintain an organized, productive, neat and tidy work area free of debris.
  • Use basic G&M code and be able to alter programs to meet design criteria.
  • Use appropriate and approved procedures for CNC lathe setup including but not limited to loading programs, touch off tools, placing jaws on and boring them if required.
  • Responsible for the setup and operation of both the CNC Lathes and CNC Mills.
  • Response for the proper use and operation of MasterCam to program the CNC Mill and the CNC Lathe.
  • Responsible for the setup and operation of the manual mill and manual lathe.
  • Write Lathe and Mill programs.
  • Perform general and routine maintenance to all machining equipment and coordinate with Shop Superintendent for non-routine maintenance and repair.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years job shop experience required.
  • Prior forklift experience required.
  • Prior experience with blueprints, offsets, basic G code required.
  • Lift 50-70 pounds on a regular basis throughout workshift.
  • Safely handle raw materials.
  • Five (5) years CNC experience preferred.
  • MasterCam experience and certification required.
