Machinist (Monday-Friday 2nd shift - 3 PM - 11:30 PM)
About The Position
In this role you will be responsible for operating machine tools to produce precision parts to support the departments of Engineering, Maintenance, and Production. You will produce small batches or large quantities of parts and ensure products meet precise specifications according to the blueprints. You will operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and work orders, as well as calculating dimensions, tolerances, and positioning using micrometers, Vernier calipers, and math skills. You will determine proper feeds, speeds, and material removal for cutting and finishing operations, and set up machines, select tools and materials, and regulate temperature and vibration for quality output. You will also perform routine maintenance, tool sharpening, and adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.
Requirements
- AAS Degree in Machine Tool Technology or a High School Diploma/GED with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of machining experience with the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Forklift certification required.

- Keep workspace clean and organized while maintaining equipment in top condition.
- Support additional maintenance and operational tasks as required.
