In this role you will be responsible for operating machine tools to produce precision parts to support the departments of Engineering, Maintenance, and Production. You will produce small batches or large quantities of parts and ensure products meet precise specifications according to the blueprints.

Requirements

  • AAS Degree in Machine Tool Technology or a High School Diploma/GED with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of machining experience with the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machine tools (lathes, milling machines, grinders) to produce precision parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
  • Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and positioning using micrometers, Vernier calipers, and math skills.
  • Determine proper feeds, speeds, and material removal for cutting and finishing operations.
  • Set up machines, select tools and materials, and regulate temperature and vibration for quality output.
  • Perform routine maintenance, tool sharpening, and adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Maintain accurate job and attendance records.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other departments.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and plant policies; forklift certification required.
  • Keep workspace clean and organized while maintaining equipment in top condition.
  • Support additional maintenance and operational tasks as required.
