About The Position

In the role of Machinist (Maintenance Machine Repair) working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the skilled trades team in Brewery Operations. You will be responsible for set-up, repair, adjustment, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and rebuilding of packaging equipment. You will support the packaging team on allocated lines and shifts to maintain optimum equipment reliability, availability, output rate, and quality at the lowest cost. This position reports to Asset Care Manager and works closely with our Brewery Workers, Mechanics, and Electricians. This role pays $44.38/hour (.50 differential for 2nd shift & .55 for 3rd) and starts with 2 weeks of vacation. Must be comfortable working either: 2nd: Monday through Friday; 3 PM to 11 PM 3rd: Monday evening through Saturday morning; 11 PM to 7 AM

Requirements

  • You have a high school diploma or a GED and you are at least 21 years of age
  • Have completed State of Wisconsin indentured apprentice program in Machine Repair, Machinist, Maintenance Mechanic, Tool and Die, or equivalent
  • This position will work on the 2nd or 3rd shift; you must be comfortable on either
  • Demonstrated skills in machining and fabricating, such as mills, lathes and other shop equipment
  • Demonstrated skills in hydraulic/pneumatic systems, pumps, laser alignment, power transmission, precision measuring tools
  • Ability to read equipment assembly drawings

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the equipment in the assigned area in reliable condition
  • Attend to breakdowns in a timely manner while continuously reducing downtime and waste
  • Dismantle, inspect, and rebuild mechanical assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications or production requirements
  • Works as a self-motivated individual with minimal supervision while functioning as a productive team member
  • Documents all work performed using the current maintenance computer system & uses this information to make decisions to improve the reliability of the equipment and process
  • Other duties as assigned
