About The Position

Hypertherm is seeking a 2nd Shift Machinist for our Kent, Washington location. The ideal candidate will be a part of an innovative and collaborative team and play an important role in our Waterjet business. If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, here are some other ways you'll help positively impact our business as a Machinist: Perform and maintain manufacturing processes to produce products that exceed our customers' expectations in terms of quality, performance, and value Perform manufacturing processes in machining, assembly, and packaging as well as enhance machinery performance to prevent machine downtime Support and participate in the use of lean systems and be involved in process improvement initiatives to manufacture the highest priority parts Who you are and the experience you bring: 5+ years of experience setting up and operating manual and CNC Machines This position requires a High School Diploma or GED The ability to utilize math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, Cartesian coordinate system, and geometry Able to effectively utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauge, comparator and dial indicator Skill in reading and interpreting documents such as work orders, drawings, manuals, set-up instructions, and safety regulations Must be able to follow written instructions and have good communication and computer skills using MS Office Preferred experience to differentiate you: Associate's degree or Certification in a related field Previous experience in Machining in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of CNC operation Ability to interpret and use process documentation Understanding of Lean manufacturing tools and concepts Basic troubleshooting Ability to reed and interpret engineering drawings Why join Hypertherm? Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience setting up and operating manual and CNC Machines
