About The Position

Complete the setup, operation, gaging, and adjustment of various types of conventional or automatic machines used to produce precision parts and instruments. Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders. Machinist II position requires blueprint reading, math calculations (shop math), tool changes, offset changes, material changes, and overall machine setup from start to finish resulting in parts that meet print specification.

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Solid communication and math skills required
• Minimum 2 years of Experience

Responsibilities

• Ability to follow safety and machine standard work
• Setup of equipment through first piece inspection including tooling and material changes
• Handling of raw materials and finished goods
• Communication with co-workers, team leads, inspectors, and management
• Measures, examines, and inspects completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
