Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic knowledge of commonly use concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Basic communication skills to comprehend, follow written and verbal direction.
  • Ability to use and interpret basis shop inspection tools and manually record data.
  • Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year machining technology certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the High-Pressure Wash, PWR/BWR Chip Inspection and ADF Parts Washer through on the job training.
  • Expand skills through on job training to learn In-Process and Final Cleaning Stations.
  • Continue on job training learning at the Grit Blast machine and Counting (weighing) Small Components.
  • Assist in routine maintenance of machines/equipment.
  • Comply with all plant work rules, regulations and specific instructions, maintain required records, logs and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area.
  • Suggest improvements in work methods and procedures.
  • Handle hazardous materials properly.
  • Blueprint reading - Interpreting component drawings, and basic GD&T symbols.
  • CNC machine operation - Running CNC mills and/or lathes, loading/unloading components and monitoring tooling.
  • Measuring tools - Using functional inspection gauges and CMM equipment.

Benefits

  • Salary: $28.00-$31.25 per hour, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
