About The Position

Collins York is looking for a motivated and energetic person to join our 3rd shift shift operation. All work is done in a clean, climate controlled facility where we put safety and quality first in everything we do. External candidates will receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus. What You Will Do: Selected candidate will operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders & other specialized CNC & manual equipment and/or perform finish work and marking of piece parts in various stages of production. Machinist will be expected to set-up and run machines on a wide variety of operations involving multiple machines that convert raw materials to precision semi-finished goods within print tolerance specification. Required to obtain inspection certification through on-the-job training & testing. 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm Training schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM for aprox. 90 days

Requirements

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline

Nice To Haves

Prior CNC operation/machining experience
Basic computer skills such as log on, data entry and retrieval
Basic math skills
Blueprint and routing reading and comprehension
Competent with hand tools and experienced with measuring equipment
