Job summary: Operate manual lathes and milling machines on 2nd Shift to fabricate production parts to print specifications and quality standards in accordance with company schedules, policies and procedures. Performs other duties, incidental to the job as assigned. Requires the ability to learn how to properly use existing equipment, i.e., milling machines lathes, grinders, drill, etc.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years trade school or on-the-job training is required to become proficient in most phases of the job.
  • This position requires U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, lawful permanent residents, and workers granted refugee or asylum status in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading preferred
  • Working knowledge of GD&T desired

Responsibilities

  • Works from drawings, sketches and specifications in completing various machining operations.
  • Performs machine set-ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting and alignment of machined parts.
  • Obtains required inspections on first pieces of a run according to prescribed procedure and performs inspections on work-in-progress using a wide variety of measuring devices.
  • Completes and maintains all necessary records of time, part counts, first piece inspections, and requisition forms, etc. for each job.
  • Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion and conforms to all quality procedures and standards.
