About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a Machinist I for our Decatur, TX facility. In this role, you will perform tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials. Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructions. You will operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties). You will operate powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment. You will perform machine setups and/or operate equipment that is setup by more skilled operators. You will complete machining tasks within a customer job. You will routinely perform initial setup on new parts. You will adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. You will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality products. You may be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess math and precision measurement skills.
  • Able to read machine drawings.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods.
  • Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
  • Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Work any shift as required to meet business needs.
  • Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment.
