About The Position

Now Hiring: Machinist I - Vertical CNC Mill Setup (Fanuc Controls) We’re looking for a Machinist who can independently set up and run Fanuc-controlled vertical CNC mills to produce precision aerospace components to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining, problem-solving, and working with tight tolerances. At least 6-12 months of Fanuc setup experience is required.

Requirements

  • 6–12 months of experience setting up Fanuc-controlled vertical CNC mills.
  • Experience with common machining operations (drilling, tapping, boring, slotting, etc.).
  • Ability to hold tolerances to ±0.001”.
  • Working knowledge of precision measurement tools.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills; FileMaker experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and consistent in attendance.
  • Standing, walking, and repetitive hand movements throughout the shift.
  • Occasional bending, climbing, overhead reaching, and sitting.
  • Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier items).
  • Work performed in a warehouse environment with noise, vibration, and exposure to chemicals.

Nice To Haves

  • FileMaker experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate vertical CNC mills and basic shop equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and basic GD&T.
  • Install tools, fixtures, and workholding; square blocks and use soft jaws.
  • Modify NC code (G & M codes) and adjust feeds/speeds.
  • Run first articles and check parts throughout production.
  • Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program issues.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and restart machines after downtime.
  • Keep your work area clean and follow all safety procedures.
  • Support CNC Operators when needed.
