About The Position

CNC Vertical Mill Machinist – 2nd shift Love machining and want a shop that values your skills? At WALCO Tool & Engineering, we build high precision components – and we rely on great people that take pride in quality and craftsmanship. We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our growing team on second shift.

Requirements

• 2+ years of CNC vertical mill setup and operation
• Solid blueprint reading skills
• Understanding of G & M codes
• Experience working with various materials such as steel, aluminum, cast iron and alloys
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to physically lift/push/pull objects up to 40 lbs.
• Standard measuring tools required

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC Vertical Milling machines
• Perform contour milling, drilling, boring, and tapping
• Read blueprints and hold tight tolerances
• Inspect your own work – quality matters here
• Keep machines running smoothly and efficiently
