About The Position

You will be the Machinist General Sr for our manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to create parts from various materials, including metal and composites, with precision and accuracy. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • After-hours Off-site learning may be required.
  • Lifting of up to 30-50 pounds.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities.
  • Must have the ability to use hand tools (i.e., torque wrench, drills and inspection tools, screwdrivers, ratchet wrench and various other hand tools).
  • This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers) to take accurate measurements.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Motivated self-starter with a desire to further his/her skills in CNC machining taking additional training courses geared toward operating CNC mills/lathes.
  • Experience with operating automated equipment, understanding of mechanical assembly and process flow.
  • Strong teaming ability and effective communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Outlook) is a plus.
  • Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.)
  • Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, SPC and basic knowledge of CNC programming.
  • Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred.
