Requirements
- Ability to use shop mathematics, drawings and measuring tools.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100.
- High school diploma and 3-5 years of experience, or Associate's Degree and 0-3 years of experience in a machine shop.
- U.S. citizenship due to access restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Assist Sr. Machinists in assignment planning, layout, setup, operation, and tool adjustments of various types of equipment.
- Review and verify dimensions and tolerances in drawings to determine best setup and work operation sequences.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, or materials onto machines.
- Identify and repair minor machine malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required.
- Supports the shop in aspects of material sourcing, kitting, organizing and other shop logistics.
