About The Position

Safely operate engine lathe, knee mill, and drill press. Work from simple (1) or detailed (2) prints. Learn basic APP tooling nomenclature. Learn cost center codes and time entry procedures. Perform basic fixturing for manual machining operations(2). Produce accurate hand sketches Supervised operation of some CNC machines used in the making of complex tooling. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provide on the job training to new employees as needed. Follow all safety and health policies and procedures issued by the company.

Requirements

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read tape measure and dial calipers accurately.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
Ability to reference the “Machinist Handbook” and implement as needed (1)
(1) entry level, (2) 12 months experience.
