About The Position

Emerson has an exciting opportunity if you are an experienced Machinist looking for an opportunity to grow! Based in our Boulder, Colorado location, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines from prints and CAD models to create one off prototype and low volume parts and tooling to tight tolerances. Proficiency in Mastercam 2025 is preferred, working application of GD&T and fixture creation highly desired. If you have a background in toolmaking and CNC machining, we would love to hear from you! IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL: Use Mastercam to generate CAD models and CNC programs. Perform complex and unusual CNC machine set-ups. Create dies and fixtures for forming small to medium sized parts. Create 3, 3+2 and 5 axis programs from a drawing or CAD model. Build complex fixtures at tight tolerances for machining prototype parts. Operate manual and CNC mills and lathes, surface grinder, and other machinery as required. Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Demonstrate good interaction and communication skills while working with all Manufacturing and Engineering employees. WHO YOU ARE : You display a can-do attitude in good and bad times. FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: Associates degree in a technical machining program or machining apprenticeship. 5+ years CNC programing, setup, and operation experience in a toolmaking environment. Experience with 5 axis programming Able to create CNC programs from CAD Models. Skilled in the set up and operation of HAAS CNC machinery. Must be proficient in metrology equipment to validate parts. Familiar with CMM usage both fixed and portable. Must be able to communicate fluently in English and be understood. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Experience in multi axis Lathe and Mill experience Experience working with 300 series stainless and stainless exotics (Nitronic/XM19, Duplex, RA330) and various tool steels, aluminum and plastics. Ability to manually edit CNC code as needed. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary/pay range for this role is $60,000 to $86,500 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role. Requirements
