The Machining Process Engineer oversees all document control and process functions within the Machining Operations. This role involves assigning work to Machinists and assisting them with job-related questions. Key responsibilities include ordering parts, materials, and tools, quoting fixture work for new castings and changes, and ensuring fixtures are functioning correctly to optimize operations. The engineer will manage applicable machining documents, distribute various work, job, company, and shop orders, and maintain and approve blueprints and drawing files. Additionally, the position recommends equipment and tooling purchases, performs CNC Programming, and assists in or develops PFMEA's, Control Plans, and Work Instructions, while adhering to all relevant job work instructions. The role may also include supervisory responsibilities such as training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving complaints and problems.
