Build your future with us Our Machinery and Equipment Specialties department seeks a field engineer to provide machinery and equipment boiler inspections. This position is in our Salt Lake City, Utah territory and can be filled by a trainee or experienced field engineer. Positions serving territories away from our headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio are fully remote. Starting Pay: The pay range for this position is $63,000 - $105,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.   • strong consultative, organizational, and presentation skills
  • a demonstrated pursuit of continuing education

Nice To Haves

  • machinery and equipment experience within a property and casualty insurance company (preferred)
  • a strong knowledge of machinery and equipment, equipment breakdown coverages, corresponding business lines, regulations and consensus standards (preferred)
  • a national board commission or have the necessary qualifications to promptly acquire it

Responsibilities

  • maintain territory's jurisdictional boiler and pressure vessel certificate inspections
  • efficiently and effectively manage the territory for which you are responsible for
  • educate agents on how to market machinery and equipment to their clients
  • serve as a professional resource to our insurance agents as they retain business and increase the value of their marketing efforts
  • provide high level of claims service to our local independent insurance agents
