About The Position

You will be the Machined Parts Inspector, Senior for the Quality team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of machined parts, supporting the production of critical systems and components. What You Will Be Doing As the Machined Parts Inspector, Senior you will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating machined parts to guarantee compliance with customer and company specifications, and for upholding the high‑quality standards that define Lockheed Martin. Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
  • Ability to accurately interpret mechanical blueprints
  • Ability to assess product based on given specifications and criteria
  • Ability to use hand gages (micrometer, caliper, height gage) required for assessing designated criteria
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control principles
  • Experience in operating Coordinate Measuring Machine preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge or experience in using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers and coordinate measuring machines is desired.
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP Defect documentation
  • Inspection experience
  • Production experience preferred
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading/GD&T

Responsibilities

  • Conducting dimensional and visual inspections of machined components
  • Comparing parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
  • Documenting inspection results and generating non‑conformance reports
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
  • Maintaining inspection equipment calibration and ensuring measurement accuracy
