Possession of any Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of professional experience as a Machinist; OR Possession of any Associate Degree from an accredited college AND six (6) years of experience as a Machinist; OR May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Machine Technology.

Verifiable journeyperson status achieved through a four year apprenticeship program as a machinist or maintenance machinist.
Previous college-level teaching experience in the areas of manual machine tools; setup, operation and programming of CNC machine tools using G code and CAD / CAM systems and SolidWorks.
National Institute of Metalworking Skills ( NIMS ) certified and familiarity with the NIMS certification process for students.
Knowledge of maintenance machining operations for pump, valve, and gearbox repairs including taper cutting, acme threads, and multiple lead threads.
