About The Position

Western Forest Products Engineered is seeking Machine Stress Rating (MSR) Operators for their Calvert Division in Washougal, WA. This hands-on role involves supporting MSR production, forklift operations, and yard organization, all while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Western Forest Products is a leading forest products company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, with operations in coastal BC and Washington State. They sustainably manage forests and manufacture high-quality wood products, focusing on specialty wood products for global customers. Their Calvert Division is one of the oldest continuous glulam manufacturers in the U.S., with over 70 years of experience producing high-quality glued laminated beams and arches from its Washougal and Vancouver facilities for commercial and residential projects worldwide. Requirements

  • Steady work history, includes a good attendance record
  • Positive attitude, ready to learn and a safety mindset
  • Basic math skills and ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and continuously be on your feet 90% of the time
  • Must be able to work in moderate to warm environment
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and regular random drug tests

Nice To Haves

  • Labor experience is an asset but not required

Responsibilities

  • Operate and support MSR equipment, including calibration and material flow
  • Load and unload boards at MSR infeed and off-bearer stations
  • Band and tarp lumber units
  • Sort lumber by grade and color
  • Work closely with forklift drivers and production staff
  • Communicate and work as a team during entire process
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace
  • Support other areas of the operations as needed
