The Machine Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of machinists and the production of high-quality parts and components. This is a full-time, onsite position in Vacaville, CA.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, with at least 2-5 years in a leadership role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and mentor a team of machinists and operators.
Extensive experience in CNC machine operation and G-code programming.
Proven ability to manage production schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance or personnel issues.
Utilize lathes, Haas machines, and other CNC equipment to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering specifications.
Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
Monitor production progress, ensuring timely completion of projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
Ensure adherence to machining best practices and safety protocols, continuously improving processes to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall efficiency.
Track and control inventory levels of tools, materials, and supplies to support continuous machining operations.
