About The Position

Clow has an opening for a Machine Shop Maintenance Mechanic: 2nd Shift position Monday- Thursday 3pm-1am Starting Wage: $29.09; Qualified Rate: $29.75 Health insurance available after 60 days 2nd shift differential: $0.90/hour $1500 Sign on bonus after 120 day probationary period. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Repairing, maintaining, installing, lubricating, troubleshooting and adjusting machines and equipment. Performing routine inspection on Machine Shop equipment. Perform routine lubrication and cleaning of equipment. Perform minor repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and machines. Use of common hardware including: bolts, pipe fittings, etc. Preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery. Operate fork trucks, lifts, and conveyors. Welding and minor fabrications.

Requirements

  • Must pass onsite aptitude test
  • Heavy lifting/carrying greater than 40-50 pounds.
  • Overhead or above shoulder reaching required.
  • Twisting torso at waist.
  • Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting up to 90 times per hour.
  • Standing & walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.
  • Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, flex, extend, exert force, wear gloves, & utilize tools.
  • Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions inside & outside including but not limited to working on slippery, uneven, unstable surfaces.
  • Applicant must have 2-4 years verifiable maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in an industrial/ manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to wear applicable PPE including: safety glasses, metatarsal guarded boots, hearing protection, respirators, welding mask, etc.
  • Ability to recognize and utilize all basic and portable power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.

  • Tech degree is a strong plus.
