About The Position

Machine Shop Lead B&B Roadway and Security Solutions, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Machine Shop Lead in our Russellville, AL location. What you will be doing: Qualifications: Education: Experience: 1 to 3 years involved with manufacturing processes. Able to effectively manage people, personalities, and challenges. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities. Must have strong verbal communication skills. 5-S training is a plus. Lean training is a plus. Able to maintain a safe working environment that is conducive to productivity. Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities. Maintain and improve operating performance of the department. Ensure proper storage and handling of all materials. Manufacture products in conformance to plant quality standards. Job Duties and requirements: Experience with CNC mill, manual mill, lathe, and band saw. Experience managing and leading multiple employees at a time. Have basic math and mechanical skills. Able to train employees in the proper way to operate machines with minimal error while focused on uptime and throughput. Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings and identify critical measurements. Will need to provide employees with performance expectations and production goals. Provide employees with tools, resources, motivation, training, and accountability. Needs to have flexibility with production hours. Lead by example by adhering to all code of conduct policies, rules, and regulations. Understanding & usage of the metric system, reading micrometer, caliper & tape measure. Good interpersonal skills, attention to detail and daily problem-solving skills. Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions. Requirements
