About The Position

A leading technology company seeks a Machine Shop Helper. The ideal candidate will assist the machinist with the post-machining process following existing procedures. The company offers a family-oriented culture and environment!

Requirements

Ability to sit and look through a microscope for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and move materials up to 35 pounds
Prolonged periods of standing and working with machinery
Detail-oriented with the highest standards of quality.
High dexterity to manipulate small objects.
Excellent eye-hand coordination.
Flexibility upon priority changes.
Willingness to question anything that does not make sense or may be in error.
Willingness to work overtime as required by business needs.

Nice To Haves

2 years of experience in a similar role is a plus.
Knowledge of machine processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Remove the micro burrs on milled and/or turned parts following existing procedures.
Develop new procedures and techniques with the aid of machinists and engineers.
Operate a heat treat furnace following existing processes and procedures.
Inspect incoming parts for quality and adherence to part specifications.
