About The Position
We are seeking a dependable Shop Helper to support fabrication and production operations in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment. The Shop Helper works alongside skilled craftsmen to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are met while contributing to efficient project completion.
Requirements
- Basic fabrication shop experience preferred
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and power tools
- Ability to read and write basic shop communications
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure
- Willingness to learn how to read shop drawings and understand bills of material
- Strong desire and ability to learn new skills
Responsibilities
- Work with and around overhead cranes, forklifts, trucks, power equipment, automated equipment, and other hazardous processes (safety-sensitive position)
- Assist craftsmen with assigned tasks and daily production needs
- Maintain productivity levels in accordance with company work instructions
- Ensure workmanship meets established quality standards
- Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
- Sustain 5S workplace organization requirements
- Contribute professionally as a team member and provide input to support timely, efficient project completion while upholding safety and quality standards
