Mechanical / Machine Repair Technician Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair complex machinery, machine tools, and powered equipment. Diagnose and rebuild mechanical components; fabricate or machine replacement parts as needed. Perform welding, rigging, and equipment alignment. Execute preventive maintenance and upgrades to mechanical systems. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities. Proficient with tools and test equipment relevant to area of expertise. Working knowledge of applicable codes (NEC, ASME, OSHA, EPA, etc.). Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams Experience Minimum 3–5 years experience in a skilled trade discipline within a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment. Hourly Rate: $35.15-$41.27 Working Conditions Manufacturing or plant environment; exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, oils, chemicals, and moving machinery. Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed. May require working at heights using lifts, ladders, or scaffolding. Must be able to work various shifts or overtime to support production and maintenance needs. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program (preferred), technical/trade school, or equivalent on-the-job training in a skilled trade (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, HVAC, or Facilities). Requirements
