About The Position

As a Preventive Maintenance/Machine Repair Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety and longevity of production equipment through timely repairs, inspections and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent or work experience which demonstrates performance competency.
  • 5 plus years in machine maintenance repair.
  • Compliance with S2’s safety policies, practices, regulations and procedures
  • The ability to obtain a Tiara Yachts forklift, aerial platform or other equipment operator’s license
  • Proven proficiency in reading blueprints, equipment manuals, drawings and schematics
  • A demonstrated technical aptitude for mechanical reasoning
  • A well-motivated work style and excellent written and verbal skills
  • A willingness to participate in continuing education workshops both internally and externally as necessary.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds with some bending and twisting
  • Able to stand, bend, and twist 50% of the time during a typical 8-hour workday
  • Experience in the safe operation of maintenance shop equipment such as drill press, all types of saws and hand power tools, basic Mig Welding
  • Must practice PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies as mandated per area. (Use safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, etc.)
  • Must follow company safety guidelines
  • Must be fluent in the English language
  • Ability to work overtime as requested

Nice To Haves

  • Facility Maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, tools and equipment according to established checklists and timelines
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues, and carry out necessary repairs and adjustments.
  • Report major issues to Team Leader or Manager.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or misalignment, and replace defective parts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory.
  • Work with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company maintenance protocols.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment reliability.
  • Work with Machine Repair Technicians as needed.
  • This role occasionally requires schedule flexibility, including early starts or late finishes, to support preventive maintenance during non-production hours.
  • Take online maintenance related classes through internal LMS.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Communicate and coordinate with outside vendors.
  • Housekeeping and other job-related duties.
  • Position requires occasional on-call status.
