PTMW- 5040 NW US HIGHWAY 24 TOPEKA, KS 66618: PTMW Hiring Event- New Year, New Career PTMW, Inc is seeking a competent CNC Machine Operator to join our pre-fabrication (PFAB) team. The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for using computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of finished products.Set up machinery according to specifications provided by blueprints, drawings, or job layouts. This position works 12 hour shifts: A shift-6:00am-6:00pm Sunday-Tuesday rotating every other Wednesday B shift-6:00pm-6:00am Sunday-Tuesday rotating every other Wednesday C shift-6:00am-6:00pm Thursday-Saturday rotating every other Wednesday D shift-6:00pm-6:00am Thursday-Saturday rotating every other Wednesday

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge & proper use of measuring devices such as calipers, square, protractor and reading a machinist scale
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong mathematic skills including fractional/decimal conversion
  • Capable of lifting up to 75lbs
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity test and breath alcohol test.

Responsibilities

  • Load raw materials into machines.
  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist in other areas of production as needed or as assigned.
