About The Position

Food Production - Machine Opr PR02 - Full-Time Starting pay: $18.45/HR This position is responsible for operating machinery includes ongoing production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Team Members with 4 attendance points or more (2 points or more under probation) will not be considered.
  • You must not have received a written warning within the last 12 months.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing and able to push, pull, and lift 25lbs minimum and 50lbs maximum.
  • Must be willing and able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
  • Must be willing and able to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
  • Must be willing and able to climb step ladders and or stairs.
  • Must be willing and able to stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Must be willing and able to perform repetitive movements.
  • Must be willing and able to work in cold and damp environment.

Responsibilities

  • Required to operate touch illustrated operating panel, safeties, and switches
  • Small mechanical adjustments
  • Use handheld scanner
  • Visually inspect product for any deficiencies
  • Required to set up and tear down area at the beginning and end of production
  • Must be able to visually inspect product for any deficiencies
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as required
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
  • Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable
  • May use SAP if transferred /rotated
  • Verifying that the samples collected is accurate, complete, and collected according to set protocols
  • Completing hourly checks and Inputting collected data into safety chain. Ensuring all information is accurate.
  • Working closely with QA ensure that data collection aligns with overall objectives
  • Must have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, able to read and follow specs and manufacturing instruction.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
  • Lock out Training is required
  • Ability to solve simple math
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer skills (if applicable)
  • Must be able to read and write
  • Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor
