HERFF JONES, Machine Operator – Virginia Beach, VA Your Opportunity: The Herff Jones Production team is looking for a Machine Operator to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a Regular Fulltime position with benefit eligibility including, medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), paid time off, and additional voluntary benefits. Shift: Standard shift is 6:00am - 2:45pm, Monday through Friday. Hours fluctuate to ten- and twelve-hour days if needed during peak season including Saturdays and Sundays if necessary due to customer demand. Seasons vary between January through end of May. Here's How You’ll Make an Impact: As a member of our production team, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting the creation and distribution of diploma frames to help our customers celebrate some of their greatest achievements. While you’ll lean heavily on your technical abilities, your greatest asset will be your drive and commitment to quality and safety. We live and work in a team environment and rely. heavily on each other to assist across a variety of functions. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous success in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in going above and beyond to help the team achieve a goal.
  • Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Assisting in the production and distribution of product produced.
  • Perform all assigned work effectively and on schedule.
  • Record any quality or scrap issues.
  • Notify supervisor or manager of any issues that arise during the shift.
  • Notify management of any safety concerns or quality issues.
  • Team player and do what it takes attitude when other duties are assigned based on business demand.
