Machine Operator - Century Metals
About The Position
Reports directly to the Production Supervisor. Successfully operates the forklift, and verifies periodically the fluid levels on the assigned one. Runs in full diagnosis and treatment of faults and / or situations that affect the functioning of the designated machine ( "Full Troubleshooting" ) . Responsible for efficiently process the materials assigned to your machine. It is able to provide effective training to operators lower rating and apprentices / helpers. Operates entire designated machine without supervision. Performs in full the initial preparation ( " Set- Up" ) without supervision. Completes all documentation related to work orders ( "Work Orders" ) and Reports Production . Rigorously inspects the material before, during and after processing to ensure quality control of the finished product. Responsible for processing the materials assigned to the machine during the shift Provides basic maintenance to the machine to properly operate this ( fluid levels, lubrication, etc.) Prepare the materials to be processed and mounted coil("coil") in the hub ( "un- coiler ") Keep the area clean and organized. Operates (the) hoists and check periodically ( according to plan preventive maintenance ) fluid levels assigned to the truck production functions . Must be available to work overtime ( Overtime - "OT " ) according to the need in any area of the Production Department . At the request of the Company. Meets personal safety and material at all times while in the production area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/Equivalent or minimum 1-2 years’ experience in warehouse environment preferred
- Be able to driver and operate a Forklift
- Equipment maintenance a plus
- Good organizational, and time management skills
- Dependable and reliable
- Candidate must be a team player
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
