The Machine Operator, specifically a Machine Technician II, is a fully competent individual responsible for operating various machines including blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. This role involves troubleshooting process problems, performing minor maintenance to ensure continuous production, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices. A Machine Technician II demonstrates mastery of entry-level machine operator skills, is capable of teaching Level-1 operators, and possesses mechanical abilities to resolve process issues. They are expected to maintain critical processing outputs, run two lines consistently, repair pneumatic and hydraulic lines, and assist with preventive maintenance and mechanical changes. The role also requires operating on multiple platforms, cross-functional capabilities, training entry-level operators, and efficient color changes without excessive product loss. The position receives instructions from a Lead Operator or Supervisor, with assistance provided for unusual problems.
