About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to operate industrial felt making machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial equipment and be able to follow all safety procedures and guidelines. The Machine Operator will be responsible for ensuring the machine is set up correctly, producing high-quality products, and monitoring the machine for any issues that may arise.

Requirements

  • Prior machine operation experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and follow established procedures accurately.
  • Proficiency in record keeping and data management, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.

Responsibilities

  • Machine Setup and Operation: Set up for work orders and maintain optimal operation throughout production runs.
  • Monitor product quality closely, making real-time adjustments to ensure consistently high standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records and reports related to product specifications, production quantities, and any necessary adjustments made during the manufacturing process.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular lab tests to assess the physical properties of the products, ensuring they meet required standards.
  • Promptly report any deviations or non-conformances, taking appropriate corrective action as needed.
  • Data Management: Efficiently handle data entry tasks and complete required reports in a timely manner, contributing to the smooth operation of the manufacturing process and providing valuable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members in the finishing end department, providing support and assistance as needed to meet production goals and deadlines.
