About The Position

Operate various machines to manufacture component parts for Server Products according to Engineering specifications. Accept work assignments from the Manager and Department Leads with a clear understanding of their positive impact on the business. Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and leverage knowledge and insights to propose multiple viable solutions. Demonstrate a strong commitment to professional growth and contribute to the development and training of colleagues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of relevant experience in manufacturing (preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail, along with solid math and reasoning abilities
  • Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with colleagues
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced team environment
  • Employs strong critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions with a positive approach
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and using measurement tools such as calipers and rulers

Responsibilities

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), blueprint specifications, and Product Structure list by gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials
  • Set-up and operate assigned machines to perform machine operations on a repetitive basis
  • Measure parts with precision tools to make certain parts meet specifications
  • Visually inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met
  • Ensures equipment remains functional by keeping it clean and promptly reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  • Promotes a safe and tidy work environment by adhering to standard 5S practices.
  • Responsible for accurate reporting of labor time, production quantities, inventory movements and scrap in ERP system
  • Responsible for meeting production and quality goals
  • Performs other duties as required
