About The Position

The machine operator is responsible for operating production equipment according to all facility safety and quality standards. Job Description: Responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment. Select appropriate settings and adjust as necessary. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and timely. Loads & unloads material to and from equipment according to prescribed methods. Inspects parts using precision measuring tools and for visual defects and certification marks. Clean machines & work area throughout and at the end of shift. Follows all safe work practices & safety rules. Follows established quality standards. Works collaboratively with team members, leaders, and others to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 0-1 years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality documents, set-up, and work instructions
  • Able to fill out charts and other simple documents and to successfully connect with team members
  • Ability to use computer terminals; gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
  • To perform this job efficiently, an individual must be able to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily
