About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. This role involves working with computer-controlled equipment to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely. The Machine Operator works under moderate supervision and is expected to have or gain full proficiency in operating specific types of machinery. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Basic understanding of machine operations and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and production specifications
  • Basic math skills for measurements and production calculations
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with specific types of production machinery relevant to the company's operations
  • Familiarity with quality control processes
  • Basic computer skills for operating computerized machinery
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate production machinery according to established procedures
  • Use computer-controlled equipment to position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines
  • Adjust machine settings to meet product specifications and quality standards
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production runs
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on assigned machinery
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
  • Record production data and maintain accurate logs
  • Inspect finished products for quality and consistency
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flow
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
