About The Position

Incumbent responsible for the operations of roll formers and/or beam mills, various presses and/or saws in a safe and efficient manner with minimal supervision

Requirements

• Ability to work without close supervision
• Must be able to read a tape measure and use a micrometer
• Must understand decimals and fractions
• Must be able to understand verbal and written orders
• Must have manual dexterity skills
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds with assistance
• Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as required
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2 years’ experience in machine operation

Responsibilities

• Ability to pass tape, print, mic, square and protractor tests
• Ability to assist with mill operations and set up
• Ability to thread steel in mill or splicing coils
• Ability to operate mill producing parts to conformance
• Production and mill activity accounting
• Proper parts inspection and identification
• Ability to perform general maintenance such as greasing and cleaning
• Ability to be cross trained on other machinery
• Ability to meet and exceed production standards
• Must be able to weld coil ends
• Must be able to read complicated prints
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Follows company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
