Machine Operator - 3rd Shift Company: Omega Plastics Inc Primary Location: 24401 Capital Blvd, Clinton Township, MI 48036 USA Workplace Type: On-site Employment Type: Hourly | Full-Time Function: Manufacturing Production / Distribution Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Main Duties & Responsibilities Job Summary: This position is for 3rd shift: Monday-Friday with some Saturdays, 11:30pm-8:00am. Responsible for safe part handling, mold operations as directed, post mold operations and secondary operations to produce a quality part. Minimum 1 year plastic injection molding experience is required. Specific Responsibilities: 1. Uphold and communicate the purpose, principles, and vision of Omega Plastics. 2. Remove parts from press. 3. Part quality - attention to detail during part production or secondary work 4. Receive training and follow operator instructions during molding or assembly 5. Communicates when a part does not match approved sample 6. Install preloads or other items as necessary for the molding process 7. Trim or assemble or otherwise prepare parts to specification. 8. Package parts in correct fashion and to correct count. 9. Record job specifics and scrap totals on tally sheets 10. Utilize computer for time recording and job assignment accounting. 11. Clean work area. 12. Awareness of regulatory and customer requirements as it pertains to Omega’s clients, especially for Omega’s medical clients (ref. ISO13485) Essential Functions: Work performed in an office and manufacturing plant environment. Normal mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. Frequently exposed to varying temperatures within plant depending upon external weather conditions. Frequently walks, stands, grips/grasps, bends/stoops, crouches, and lifts and carries up to fifty-five (55) pounds routinely throughout the day. This role is required to be on-site 5-6 days at the Clinton Twp, MI location. We are a drug free environment. This position does require a passed drug screen. Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
