This role involves setting up and operating heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations. The operator is expected to have knowledge of production techniques to produce quality building parts and understand all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include operating computerized equipment and material handling equipment, performing routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools. The operator will also mark part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts, and attach identification tags as required. The position requires maintaining continuous improvement practices in the work area and involves repetitive material handling, some in awkward body positioning, and repetitive climbing on and off equipment and ladders. The working conditions can be varying and extreme, both inside and outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine).
