The Machine Operator will be responsible for working from shop drawing, procedures and/or other written, verbal, or electronic instruction, perform a wide variety of operations. Produces parts by programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. This role is located in Verona, VA and will be fully on-site. 3rd Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30pm-6:00am 3rd Shift Starting Pay: $23.50/hour 3rd Shift Differential: $1.50/hr. Training Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm (approx. 2 weeks) Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ previous experience in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Arm/hand steadiness
  • Manual Dexterity
  • Perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending, and reaching
  • Close vision, distant vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Plans machining by reading, interpreting, understanding, and working from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction.
  • Work with a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials.
  • Programs equipment by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation.
  • Sets up equipment by installing and adjusting tools, attachments, heads, etc.
  • Maintains specifications by observing, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting, adjust and/or programming controls.
  • Maintains equipment by completing operator maintenance requirements, following manufacturers and/or company instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions and/or calling for repairs.
  • Maintain required records in either written or electronic form.
