About The Position

Glastender Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer of commercial bar and restaurant equipment, known for its high-quality products and innovative solutions. We are currently accepting resumes for Machine Operator positions on Second shift (3:30 pm to 12:00 am). What You'll Do Machine Operators are responsible for performing routine setups and operating production machinery to produce parts for the assembly departments. All machine operations, quality inspections, and daily activities are completed in accordance with established work instructions and company standard practices. New employees are supported through a well-established, comprehensive training and onboarding program to ensure consistency, quality, and safety.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • One to three years of manufacturing experience
  • Reading comprehension sufficient for following work instructions and writing ability to prepare basic production reports
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
  • Ability to use caliper, protractor, gauges, read a scale, and read a tape measure to 1/32"
  • Basic computer proficiency sufficient enough to perform functions related to machine tasks

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the workflow of the department, staging, and delivery of parts.
  • Learn and operate computer bar coding software.
  • Identify type, finish, and gauge of sheet metal materials.
  • Perform programming of computer numerical controls (CNC).
  • Conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality and conformance.
  • Review work orders and prints to ensure order is complete and work is performed according to specifications.
  • Keep machines and work area clean and organized utilizing 5S principles.
  • Stage work and deliver completed parts per established work instructions.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks on machines as required per preventative maintenance schedule documents.
  • Demonstrate proficiency using all hand tools, and auxiliary equipment related to assigned machine
