About The Position

Under the supervision of the plant manager, operate crusher and perform lubrications, inspections and maintenance on equipment. Must keep the area and equipment clean and clear of debris and in good working order.
Monitor conveyors and other moving components.
Check the flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps or storage bins.
Check all belts, head pulleys, dust collectors, oil levels daily.
Adjust equipment such as screens, conveyors and fans to control or vary the size or grade of product or to maintain uniform flow of materials.
Clean, lubricate and perform maintenance on equipment
Keep records of materials processed.
Assist in the maintenance of crusher, hammer mill, screens and chutes.
Communicate/direct movement of trucks.
Will maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices, perform daily housekeeping of assigned area, perform daily workplace inspections, adhere to plant policies and proper use of plant radios.
Be familiar with MSHA safety rules, safety procedures

Requirements

• High school or equivalent.
• 1-3 months experience or training preferred.
• Must possess reading, math, good memory and reasoning ability skills.
• Mechanical background to perform basic maintenance on the crusher equipment; knowledge of operational and preventive maintenance on quarry equipment.
