Machine Operator: Collins Bus
About The Position
Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Set stops and guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template. Position work piece against stops or align layout marks with dye or blade. Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation. Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece. Produce parts according to quality standards. Use and setup safety equipment in assigned work center. Able to reproduce all operations within acceptable quality and time standards. Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Able to read tape measure
- Able to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to learn and operate various machines in Fabrication department
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
