A Machine Operator operates the molding machine to form plastic parts by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Machine start-up, operating, and shut-down procedures
- Basic machine troubleshooting as needed
- Responsible for adjusting sheet entries for their machine
- Fill the appropriate cube with the correct color powder
- Ensure the correct weight of the cube is poured into the mold
- Pull finished parts and place them on the chute to go to Assembly
- Places and removes chains on the machine
- Cleans work area, machines, and equipment
- Trains helpers on making proper adjustments and mold setups
- Maintains housekeeping on the platform and the entire machine area
- Performs other responsibilities as needed
